This painting was inspired by the thought of the end of lockdowns and restrictions. Created for the Winter Open exhibition at the Courthouse Gallery, Co Clare, it unfortunately is still in situ there waiting for restrictions to lift!! I have always taken for granted the joy of people gathering, enjoying a hug and sharing food. But the last year has been a wake up call. I hope I don't assume these joys as my right any more!
